New RSV Vaccine
Posted or Updated on 23 Aug 2024
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common cause of coughs and colds. It usually gets better by itself, but it can be serious for some babies and older adults.
Patients aged 75 and pregnant women at 28 weeks will be invited to receive a new vaccine to protect against respiratory illness this winter. Patients aged up to 79 will also be eligible in a catch up programme this year.
